As the mother of two adults with autism, Dr. Schneider offers both a medical and personal assessment of current and promising treatment options. She has developed and implemented multiple research studies relating to the treatment of autism and the identification of genetic risk factors for neurological disease. She speaks internationally on autism-related topics and has collaborated with prominent researchers worldwide.
Dr. Schneider previously served as the founding President and Co-Medical Director of the Southwest Autism Research Center, Council Member of the World Autism Organization, Research Committee Member at the MIND Institute at the University of California, and Board Member of the Greater Phoenix Chapter of the Autism Society of America. She is a Medical Advisor to SafeMinds, TACA, and the Healthy U Now Foundation and has been a member of the Defeat Autism Now Think Tank since 1997. Dr. Schneider is also on the faculty at the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS), where she teaches advanced biomedical interventions to physicians seeking a deeper understanding of functional medicine.
